My early abstract paintings, from the Epistemes series, reference epistemological discourse—the study of what knowledge is and how we gain it—through the use of architectonic forms.

The Strata series consist of horizontal layers and pentimenti, which are used to represent a priori truths, or what lies beneath experiential knowledge.

In response to the cryptofascist Trump presidency, I became more political in my abstract work and eventually returned to a figurative style, in order to use my art for activism.
